Mainstreet hosts national night out
Mainstreet, Richmond, hosted National Night Out last Tuesday, August 3, while participants shivered in the unseasonable night air. The park at Harbor Way and Macdonald was opened for people to enjoy cookies, hot cider, and balloons by Buki the clown.
Organizers stood hopefully waiting for guests to arrive.
A disc jockey played music and served refreshments.
City Councilman Dr. Jeff Ritterman danced into the park holding his fingers in the old peace symbol "V" sign, which also stands for victory. Ritterman was a proponent of the new medical marijuana law recently passed by the Richmond City council.
